Either this is hopelessly unscientific...or am I just my own little army of one?

Okay, so...hopelessly unscientific it is. [livejournal.com profile] skaredykat forwarded me the info that this is a scam to get you to boost Google ratings for a vanity publisher. Or to get you to use a vanity publisher. Either way = ew! Please to not be following the links. If you want to know who you write like, I am more than capable of giving you some random writer's name after lightly perusing any of your work. Links to stupid site have been sanitized for your protection. (And retitled, for your amusement.) :D

Oops, [livejournal.com profile] mecurtin reports don't use "I write like" -- it is a web scam, and recommends removing the code/banners. (*makes "sorry to rain on funny meme" face*)

Scammers are yucky. I do not want my random clicking of pretties to support them. But -- phew on S. Meyer allegation! :)

(*jumps up and down*) intrigue me, intrigue me, please!

Hmmmm... (*is intrigued*) You are considering a New Themed List of h/c by category SGA stories...?

Now I'm being mean, but, um, possibly my favorite quote about that series: "Reader, I hurled."

Though I liked this and this.

Also, hahaha, before you remove the banners entirely, maybe consider asking [livejournal.com profile] busaikko what she did to just modify the code in hers, if our brain-twin thingy works for sense of humor? (*is laughing very hard*)

I like it a lot! (Also, am very entertained that the debunking and banner-code-modifying of the meme now potentially provides even more entertainment than the actual meme did, hee.)

These are awesomecake! There should be a Stephenie Meyer one; "She's not a Mary Sue if she looks after her parents and everyone falls in love with her, n'kay?"

From: [identity profile] debris_k.livejournal.com
Her violet/lavender/periwinkle eyes and curly/wavy/hip-length tresses don't make her a MarySue either, I'm sure. As for her two-dimensional character...hey, at least she's readily portable. :D

*points to icon* :-D

Also, *shock!gasp* - there was actually a Stephenie Meyer in there? Good grief, am I ever glad I didn't get that one...

*a bit later*

This cracking the code looks to be catching:

Thanks for the heads-up!

Maybe anyone already mentioned this - but what about the I author-name-link? It goes to the iwl website first (which then automatically redirects to Amazon), so I'd guess they're still getting google mileage as long as you don't change the href...?
