I've been wondering

How long was Sam dead?
See, after Kripke positionally crucified Sam twice, my thinky brain started grinding away. I've gone back to AHBL2, and I sort of think that, in the same vein, he might've had Sam 'rise on the third day.'
Work with me here. Sam died at night, and Bobby came in with the chicken in the day. He suggested burying Sam, which I don't think he'd do if it was less than 24 hours, so I'm positing that it was the 2nd day. This is supported by the Chinese take out we see when Dean and Sam are eating. There is a quick glance at the table when Bobby turns to leave and you catch see a glimpse of white boxes just behind the soda bottles. Same place as the cartons later. Hmm.
Nighttime when Dean goes to the crossroads, and there IS moonlight streaming in when Sam opens his eyes. However, it's fully light when he's standing in front of the mirror, and by his actions he hasn't been up that long. That'd be the Kripke (magnificent bastard) way of doing the third day thing, don't ya think?
The pizza confuses me. I can't see it in any prior shots of the table (not that those are plentiful or clear), but Dean seems to be leading Sam directly to the table after saying, "I'm starving" so I doubt they called for delivery. I also love how Dean drinks straight liquor while Sam is dead and switches to soda once he's back.
Also, Dean denies Bobby three times - burying Sam, torching the corpse, and coming with him. I wouldn't have noticed it except for the repeated viewing to try to see the food. More Judeo-Christian allusions, or just the rule of three in writing?
Of course, logically it wouldn't have taken Jake three days to get from Cold Oak to the cemetary, but, hey, he did take time out to gather supplies and go camping (more evidence of time passing that we weren't explicitly shown) with Stan.
