Hmm. Do we even have a modern-day Cary Grant? Casting is always the tricky part! That, and the way they dumb down reboots, and fill them with juvenile humor. Katherine Hepburn never needed to make fart jokes to be funny.

I've been thinking about this off and on all day.

George Clooney comes closest ... if he turns down the smirk about 20 points and the 'aw, shucks' charm about 10.

Cate Blanchett played Kate Hepburn in Aviator.

Tom Hanks is the modern Jimmy Stewart but he's too old for the part.

Welp, I guess we'll have to go back in time about 25 years.

Ooh! I'll bet Pink would be a blast in the Ruth Hussey role!
